金十データ6月15日、ロシア太平洋艦隊海軍編隊が地中海でエジプト海軍と共同演習を行うと、ロシア国防省が報告しました。ロシア側の参加艦艇は、「ヴァリャーグ」ミサイル巡洋艦と「シャポシュニコフ元帥」護衛艦で、両艦は既にエジプトのアレクサンドリア港を出発し、演習地域に向かっています。エジプト側は「カディール」（ENS Al-Qadeer）護衛艦を投入して演習に参加します。演習はPASSEX（交差演習）で、合同機動、通信、検査作戦などが含まれます。
