Trump criticizes Powell, French finance minister warns of dollar credibility risks

According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by Fortune, French Finance Minister Eric Lombard commented on the position of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. In response to U.S. President Trump's remarks about dismissing Powell, Lombard pointed out that such a move would undermine the dollar's credibility, disrupt the U.S. economy, and simultaneously raise the cost of debt financing, leading to turmoil in the bond market and economic disorder. Previously, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Powell for not swiftly advancing interest rate cuts, stating on social media that Powell "should leave as soon as possible."
