The Federal Reserve (FED) Chairman Powell emphasized focusing on statutory responsibilities at the European Central Bank event.

According to the Gate News bot, as reported by Jin10, during an event of the European Central Bank held in Portugal, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell responded to criticisms from Trump. When asked whether Trump's frequent personal attacks made his job more difficult, Powell stated clearly: "I only focus on doing my job. What's important is using our tools to achieve the goals Congress has given us: maximum employment, price stability, and financial stability. That's what we're 100% focused on." His response received applause from the audience on site and from attendees including European Central Bank President Lagarde.

When asked whether he would continue to serve at the Federal Reserve after his term ends in May next year, Powell stated that he could not comment on the matter that day.
