Elon Musk's Neuralink joins bionic eye research

According to Jin10 data on July 26, Elon Musk's brain-computer interface company Neuralink is collaborating with researchers in California and Spain to conduct clinical trials for a visual prosthesis. The news of Neuralink's participation in the trial was disclosed in late July on ClinicalTrials, a government website listing medical research. This study is sponsored by the University of California, Santa Barbara. According to online descriptions, the goal of the research is to "solve the fundamental issues that could lead to the development of intelligent bionic eyes." Researchers state that this device will use artificial intelligence to assist blind individuals in recognizing faces, navigating outdoors, reading, and more.
