According to Jinse.com, Joe Lubin, the founder of ConsenSys, said at the ETHFang community conference held in Brussels on Wednesday that the US regulatory agencies have "neglected their duties", and certain senators and banking lobbying groups are able to "exploit" and guide the SEC's encryption policy.
Lubin also said that he and other participants have been forced to deal with unclear legislation. He said, "For years, we have been accustomed to operating under the cloud of regulatory uncertainty".
Nevertheless, Lubin said he believes regulators are making "real progress," in part because of the upcoming U.S. election, with lawmakers now seeking new ways to win votes and raise funds for their campaigns.
