U.S. authorities accuse six men of plotting $15 million cryptocurrency kidnapping case

Odaily Planet Daily News US authorities accused six men of kidnapping four people from a townhouse in Chicago in October 2024, forcing them to transfer about 15 million US dollars of Crypto Assets. The victims included three family members and a nanny, who were held captive for five days before being released near a dry cleaner's. The FBI's testimony also stated that the suspects used firearms, threats, and forced transactions to obtain the victims' Crypto Assets. The case was recently revealed in court records, exposing a carefully planned scam involving car rentals, Airbnb properties, and surveillance videos, with some suspects fleeing overseas before their arrest.
