Golden Finance reported that Altvest Capital Ltd. stated that it will become the first listed company in Africa to adopt BTC as its primary national treasury reserve asset, a strategy that mimics Michael Saylor's Strategy, which has seen its stock price soar by over 2,400% since it started buying BTC. Altvest CEO Warren Wheatley said in an interview that the company has purchased a BTC and has applied to the regulatory authorities to raise approximately 200 million Rand (10 million US dollars) through the sale of stocks to increase its treasury reserves. He added that a final decision has not yet been made on the fundraising.
