The founder of Telegram is embroiled in legal disputes and facing multiple charges.

Recently, the founder of a certain instant messaging platform is under investigation by Swiss authorities due to criminal complaints made by a former partner. The founder is accused of child abuse, and the allegations surfaced after his recent arrest in France. This incident is part of a broader series of legal controversies, which also includes allegations of unpaid child support and a fierce custody battle.

Initially, the Geneva Public Prosecutor's Office refused to accept the criminal complaint against the founder, citing that the time for submitting the complaint had exceeded the three-month limit following the most recent alleged incident of physical violence. However, in May 2023, his former partner filed an appeal, and the court ultimately allowed the case to proceed last October. According to officials from the Geneva court, the case is currently still under review.

The former partner accused the founder of harming their youngest child (born in September 2017) five times between 2021 and 2022. These incidents allegedly caused the child injuries, including a concussion and sleep disorders. As evidence, the former partner submitted communication records between both parties from November 2021 and medical certificates from April 2023, indicating that the child has been suffering from anxiety and sleep issues due to the violent behavior.

In response to these allegations, the founder's representative declined to comment. The lawyer for the former partner confirmed the circumstances involving the civil case but did not comment on the criminal complaint. It is noteworthy that, due to Swiss legal provisions, neither party nor their children have been publicly named in the criminal case. However, the case includes several details that can confirm the founder's identity, such as the birth year of their child and the case number of the civil child case.

Previously, the founder was prosecuted by the authorities in France, subsequently granted bail but prohibited from leaving the country. This series of events has sparked public concern over the personal conduct of executives in the tech industry and highlighted the complexities of multinational legal disputes.

Although the case is still under investigation, it has undoubtedly brought negative effects to the instant messaging platform. Industry insiders believe this could impact users' trust in the platform and may have far-reaching implications for the company's development strategy. Meanwhile, this incident has also sparked reflection on the relationship between the personal behavior of technology company leaders and the company's image.

As the case progresses, the public will continue to focus on the legal situation of the founder and its potential impact on the future of the company. Regardless of the outcome, this case could become an important reference for ethical standards and legal responsibilities in the technology industry.
