Solana DePIN ecosystem's total revenue in April reached a new high for the year, with multiple projects performing well.
Solana DePIN ecosystem continues to rise, with total revenue in April hitting a new high for the year
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN track performed impressively in April, with total revenue reaching $458,000, a year-on-year rise of 33%, marking the highest level this year. This rise is mainly attributed to the steady development of several key projects.
Despite a significant rise in revenue, the number of active contributors to the DePIN protocol has slightly declined. The main projects collectively maintain about 87,000 active contributors. Notably, the number of contributors to smaller DePIN protocols saw significant growth in April, with some projects experiencing growth rates exceeding 100%, while the number of contributors to larger protocols remained basically stable or slightly declined.
Here is a review of the performance of major DePIN projects:
Dabba Network
This is a DePIN project focused on the Indian market, deploying Wi-Fi hotspots in collaboration with local cable operators. During the period from March to April, its cumulative data consumption doubled to 8000 TB, and device sales rose by 29%, demonstrating strong growth momentum.
Helium Mobile
As a mobile virtual network operator, Helium Mobile saw a surge in new subscription users by 125% after launching its free mobile plan, reaching 36,000 users. Revenue for the month increased by 34%, reaching a new high of $250,000, with data offloading accounting for 79%. The average daily offloaded subscription volume and offloaded data volume also both set new records.
However, the number of active contributors to Helium has slightly decreased since 2025, currently stabilizing at around 75,000.
XNET
The decentralized mobile network maintained good momentum in April. The average daily data offload volume rose by 16%, continuing an upward trend for eight consecutive months. Despite a 6% decrease in rewards, active contributors still increased by 6%, reaching 732, a new historical high.
Roam
In April, 535,000 new WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users were added, bringing the total number of nodes close to 4 million and the number of users to nearly 3 million. Although the monthly user check-in volume decreased by 19%, the total check-in count surpassed 300 million, indicating that user engagement remains very strong.
Shaga
This protocol, which utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, covers 74 GPU models and provides 33.12 TB of storage and 15.27 Gbps throughput. It achieved 4,500 interactive game live broadcasts within two months, totaling 50,000 hours.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, the online duration in April doubled compared to March, attracting more nodes to join the network.
Nosana
This decentralized GPU computing network focuses on AI inference workloads. The completion volume in April saw a slight rise in contributor rewards, and the GPU nodes remained stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI cooperative project is expected to drive future rise.
Sallar.io
Support high-performance computing through the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones. In April, the dollar reward increased to $11,800, a month-on-month rise of 27%, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
This project utilizes the idle bandwidth of user devices to provide data sources for AI training and more. The data collection volume in April reached a historical high of 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Aviation data collection network based on Solana. Since November 2024, the number of tracked flights has increased to 150,000, and the daily collected data points have risen to 9 billion, increasing by 7% and 29% respectively; the number of contributing sites has increased by 43%, reaching 3,000.
Hivemapper
The decentralized mapping network remained stable in April, with no significant changes in monthly mapping mileage. The AI-driven platform Beekeeper, aimed at fleet management, has officially launched and may bring new rise momentum. Since February, the number of active map contributors has stabilized at around 5,000.
NATIX Network
Street view and geographic data collection network. In April, user-driven mileage maintained at 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month.
Sourceful Energy
Decentralized virtual power plant project. In April, electricity output rose by 30%, and the newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 pre-orders, with growth momentum expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
The world's largest environmental monitoring DePIN. In April, the cumulative user ecological data check-ins surpassed 2 million times, a rise of 12%; the total number of platform users increased to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
Overall, the Solana DePIN ecosystem performed excellently in April, with multiple projects showing a stable rise, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of this sector.
