Before the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting in September, three critical economic data types will significantly impact the Intrerest Rate decision.
First, inflation-related indicators will become the focus. This includes the Consumer Price Index ( CPI ), the Producer Price Index ( PPI ), and the Personal Consumption Expenditures ( PCE ) Price Index. Among them, the Core PCE, as the Federal Reserve's main indicator for measuring inflation, will receive special attention.
Secondly, employment market data will also play an important role. Indicators such as the non-farm payroll report and the number of unemployment claims can directly reflect the resilience of the economy and the overall trend of the employment market, providing important references for decision-making.
Finally, macroeconomic activity and consumption signals cannot be ignored. Leading indicators such as retail sales data, ISM manufacturing and services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), will provide policymakers with important clues about economic activity and consumption conditions.
These key data points are expected to be released gradually from the end of August to mid-September. The Federal Reserve will then hold a policy meeting on September 16-17 and announce the latest Interest Rate decision results. The performance of these data will significantly influence the Federal Reserve's policy direction, so market participants and economists will closely monitor the trends of these indicators.
