Chromia launches incentive testing program to prepare for Mainnet release

Chromia is an innovative Layer-1 blockchain platform that utilizes relational blockchain technology and a modular framework to provide customized services for users and developers. The platform supports dedicated dApp chains, a flexible fee structure, and enhanced digital asset functionalities. One of Chromia's standout features is its natively queryable real-time data indexing, which fundamentally changes the way on-chain information is organized, greatly simplifying the user experience for end-users and paving the way for the development of new business models in Web3.

Chromia's horizontal scalability enables it to efficiently handle parallel tasks, making it particularly suited for supporting high-performance gaming applications. A flagship game on the platform, "My Neighbour Alice," is a great example where players can build land, interact with neighbors, complete daily tasks, and earn rewards in a virtual world. It can be said that Chromia's technical architecture is poised to fundamentally change the way decentralized applications are developed and used.

Recently, Chromia announced the launch of an important incentive testing program, which is a key step for the platform towards the Mainnet release. Participants can earn rewards not only by contributing to network security but also by using testnet CHR tokens on Chromia-supported networks and interacting with the official Chromia wallet.

The total reward pool for this incentive program amounts to 250,000 CHR tokens, comprising three independent sub-projects, each running a candidate version of the Chromia Mainnet on a dedicated network. The details are as follows:

HackNet (as of June 28)

HackNet is primarily aimed at programmers and advanced users, providing them with the opportunity to discover extreme scenarios and examine the Chromia codebase in a sandbox network. The project's highest reward is 100,000 CHR, and the collected feedback will be used for the final preparations of the Mainnet.

HackNet aims to encourage technical users to stress test the core software of Chromia and detect edge cases. While anyone can submit reports, the program is primarily suited for those with technical knowledge who are able to read code directly or interact with the blockchain due to limited guidance.

HackNet will end on June 28 to coincide with the completion of the third-party audit. This will allow the Chromia team to assess feedback and determine the final timeline for the Mainnet launch.

ProjectNet (as of July 26)

ProjectNet is designed for developers and will serve as the hosting network for the Demo Dapp competition. Chromia will award a total of 50,000 CHR to the top three participants.

The goal of ProjectNet is to encourage developers to learn the Rell language and build applications on the Chromia blockchain. This Demo Dapp competition is aimed at those with experience in Web2 and Web3 application development, but familiarity with Rell is not required.

Participants can submit various forms of applications, including original works, works inspired by existing applications, or direct adaptations of applications written in other languages to the Chromia platform. The submission deadline is July 26 to give participants enough time to enhance their Rell skills and complete project development. Winners will be chosen by a jury composed of Chromia's development, business development, and marketing teams.

QuestNet (June 18 to August 30)

QuestNet aims to encourage both new and existing community members to explore Chromia and its associated dApp features, promoting user interaction with core network functionalities (such as Chromia Vault) and specific decentralized applications.

The QuestNet program is set to launch on June 18, initially featuring some introductory tasks, and will gradually expand over the following weeks. The reward pool for this program consists of 100,000 CHR tokens, which will be distributed through a series of lottery events after the program concludes. To prevent bot activity, the eligibility criteria for the lottery will not be announced in advance; however, generally speaking, completing all available tasks, regularly checking the task panel, and following Chromia's social media updates are good ways to maximize the chances of earning rewards.

Key Points

  1. HackNet will continue until June 28 and is mainly aimed at developers and tech-savvy users.
  2. ProjectNet will continue until July 26, designed specifically for application developers.
  3. QuestNet will run from June 18 to August 30, targeting general users, and rewards will be determined and distributed after the program ends.

A senior executive from Chromia stated that they are pleased to invite users to explore Chromia's innovative platform through this incentive testing program. This is not only an opportunity to showcase Chromia's technology before the Mainnet launch, but also allows the community to actively contribute to shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem.
