China's self-proclaimed world number one humanoid robot H1 made its debut on the Spring Festival Gala, shocking the world!
Every year's Spring Festival Gala is a must-see TV show for Chinese people to watch while sitting around the stove for the Chinese New Year. This year's Spring Festival Gala is a bit different, with Chinese humanoid robots stunningly appearing, leaving Americans amazed. In this program watched by over a billion viewers, for the first time, people and robots are seen performing Chinese acrobatics together, spinning plates, but it is filled with unease and awkwardness.
During the live broadcast on Chinese New Year's Eve, 16 H1 humanoid robots, dressed in red and white cotton-padded jackets, half-squatted in horse stances, waved and sprinkled red handkerchiefs, and performed with human dancers, interspersed with traditional Chinese folk songs. It is hard to imagine that these robots, with stiff movements and steps, were developed by Unitree, an investment of Alibaba Cloud. It is obvious that the robots have not learned how to dance or perform stunts, but many Chinese media have praised Alibaba Cloud's cutting-edge AI technology for making the robots agile and wonderful.
American Youtuber serpentza made a video titled "Chinese Robots Shock the World! America Lost!" In addition to the irony of the major external propaganda, China's robots highlighted the technological backwardness and shortcomings in the Spring Festival Gala performance.
What can H1 robots do?
Youtuber serpentza said that China always has a way to promote products. He introduced the product made by Boston Dynamics, an American company.
