Buffett donated Berkshire B shares worth $6 billion to five foundations.

Odaily News Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A.N, BRK.B.N) announced on June 27, local time, that Buffett converted 8,239 shares of Class A stock into 12,358,500 shares of Class B stock on that day, in order to donate 12,358,321 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class B stock to five foundations: among them, 9,433,839 shares were donated to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; 943,384 shares were donated to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation; and 660,366 shares were donated respectively to the Sherwood Foundation, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, and the Novo Foundation. The donations will be credited on June 30. Buffett currently holds 198,117 shares of Class A stock and 1,144 shares of Class B stock in Berkshire.
