The Maxwell upgrade of BNB Chain has boosted its DEX monthly volume to a new high.
PANews reported on June 30 that the Maxwell network improvement of BNB Chain was launched on June 30, which is expected to significantly increase transaction speed, enhance network responsiveness, and optimize communication between validators on BSC. This upgrade includes three main proposals, namely BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564, each focusing on optimizing performance and scalability. BEP-524 introduces faster block intervals for near-instant transaction confirmation and improves the user experience of DeFi and GameFi applications. BEP-563 strengthens the validators' consensus process by enhancing peer-to-peer messaging and reducing the risk of missed voting and latency. BEP-564 introduces two new message types, including GetBlocksByRangeMsg and RangeBlocksMsg, to accelerate data synchronization across validator nodes. The Maxwell upgrade comes at a crucial moment, as BNB Chain has reached a new milestone in DEX activity. BNB Chain has led all blockchains in daily DEX trading volume for the second consecutive month. According to data from DeFiLlama, BSC's DEX trading volume exceeded 165 billion USD in June over 30 days, surpassing the total of Ethereum and Solana combined. This is the highest monthly DEX trading volume in the history of BNB Chain.
