Trump calls Musk "off the rails" and criticizes his party formation.
On July 7, Trump stated on social media: "Seeing Musk completely 'derailed' over the past five weeks, essentially turning into a runaway train, makes me feel sad. He even wants to establish a third party, although that has never succeeded in the U.S.—the system doesn’t seem designed for them. The one thing a third party excels at is creating total destruction and chaos." Trump also mentioned that when Musk unequivocally supported me, I asked him if he knew I would terminate the electric vehicle authorization, and he said he had no objections—I was surprised. Trump added that, furthermore, Musk wants to bring in one of his good friends to manage NASA, but I was surprised to find that he is a privileged Democrat who has never donated to Republicans. Musk might be too. Trump further stated that it is inappropriate to have Musk, who has vested interests in the space sector, choose the NASA leader. (Jin10)
